His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, visits DGHR Department, accompanied by the Secretary-General of Dubai’s Executive Council.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan stressed that government capacity building is a top priority for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The aim is to develop government performance and enhance Dubai Government’s position as a proactive and pioneering government, stressing the need to entrench the values of team spirit and teamwork as well as knowledge sharing and harmonization of efforts to promote integration and contribute effectively to leadership and excellence in government work.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan made the remarks during His Highness's visit, accompanied by H.E. Abdullah al-Basti, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Dubai, to DGHR Department's headquarters, where he was greeted upon arrival by H.E. Abdullah Ali bin Zayed al-Falasi, DGHR Department's Director General.

H.H. the Crown Prince of Dubai noted the importance of preparing and qualifying future leaders, building bridges of trust between leaders of government institutions and their people, creating an institutional culture that would be the engine of creativity and unlocking the potential of employees in order to translate the emirate's strategic plans on the ground, formulate its future and establish its position at all levels.

H.H. said that "the UAE has a prestigious position to make its mark on the world map, because of the faith and confidence of its leadership in the human capital and, in particular, the national cadres. The UAE has placed the development and rehabilitation of UAE citizens as its top priority because the human being is the foundation of real change and the engine of accomplishment and success".

H.H. stressed that "the Government of Dubai is harnessing all its resources and its potential to provide direct support for investment in human resources and to enable empowered and conscious leaders to keep pace with the accelerated transformation of the nature of government work. Our future ambitions require the development of competencies and abilities of the government apparatus to prepare leaders capable of continuing the pioneering process and inventing solutions to create a bright future, every employee is a leader and an official in his place, no matter what the nature of his work and position".
