DGHR Department and EDD Sign MOU To Develop A Common Framework for Mutual Cooperation

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by H.E. Abdulla Ali bin Zayed al-Falasi, Director General of DGHR Department, and H.E. Sami Al-Qamzi, Director General of Dubai Economic Development Department (EDD), today at DGHR Department’s headquarters.

The MOU aims to strengthen the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two parties, and to achieve the desired objectives aimed at combining efforts in enriching government knowledge and empowering the UAE national cadres in line with the aspirations of the Government of Dubai to promote excellence and innovation as a method of government action.

H.E. Abdullah Ali bin Zayed al- Falasi, Director General of DGHR Department, emphasized the Department's keenness to cooperate productively with all government entities in Dubai with a view to providing training opportunities for their employees and qualifying them with appropriate qualification to carry out their job duties according to the highest Global standards, in line with Dubai Strategy 2021.

H.E. Sami al-Qamzi said: "The agreement is in line with the directives of our wise leadership aimed at combining the efforts of government institutions in enriching government knowledge and empowering national cadres, as well as our common desire to build effective knowledge partnerships to unite efforts in the field of customer service in all categories. This has a positive and constructive reflection on the economic and social levels".

The MOU further states that the two departments shall cooperate in the exchange of knowledge and institutional experiences at all levels and joint action to develop the performance of joint operations and streamline procedures with regard to the relationship between the parties. This will be done by promoting the exchange of knowledge and best practices among federal and local government institutions as well as distinguished regional and international institutions, with the aim of ensuring continuous development of the concept of excellence in the government sector, through the provision of benchmarking mechanisms.
