The establishment of the Dubai Institute for the Development of Human Resources in 2003 was a qualitative addition to the efforts of the Government, which paid special attention to upgrading government skills. In line with the principle of complementarity between human resources development initiatives and the objectives of the Dubai Strategic Plan, the Institute adopted a methodology based on the design and delivery of high quality training programs that meet the needs of both the public and private sectors. Which are diversified and varied in a way that provides effective and advanced solutions that achieve the aspirations of the private government agencies to improve the performance of employees according to best practices in the field of human resources, in the service of the vision and guidance of good leadership.
The Competency Assessment Center is part of the Talent Development and Assessment System in the Future Resources Sector, Dubai Human Resources Department. The Center's work is focused on evaluating, measuring and developing personal competencies and identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the cadres. The center envisions the design and implementation of a comprehensive set of international tests under the supervision of a selection of consultants who are responsible for evaluating the trainees' competence according to the behavioral competencies. Accordingly, recommendations are made to enhance the career development of cadres. The Center also aims to nominate cadres to join programs specifically designed to meet the needs of government agencies in Dubai, in cooperation with strategic partners.
